Hot Towels
Hot towels massage therapy involves using heated towels on the body during a massage. The heat from the towel helps to relax the muscles, increase blood circulation throughout the body, promote better joint mobility, reduce pain associated with stiff or tight muscles, and generally increase the effectiveness of massage techniques.

Post-Treatment Nap
Remain on the comfy table and drop into a restful nap before facing the rest of the day! Schedule an additional 1/2 hour at the end of your session to include this exclusive luxury!

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils for therapeutic benefit. Aromatherapy has been used for centuries. When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and especially impact the amygdala, the emotional center of the brain.

Cupping
Cupping relies on negative pressure to create suction (as opposed to tissue compression techniques normally used during a massage) providing relief for aching muscles, joint stiffness, and may reduce inflammation. For most people, cupping frequently causes bruising that can last about a week.

Our Massage Modalities
Perennial Therapy Signature Massage:
This popular massage is the standard unless otherwise requested. This customized treatment combines modalities and may include Swedish, Stretching, Trigger Point, Myofascial, and Deep Tissue massage as needed and addresses the unique needs of each client.

Swedish Massage:
Swedish massage treatment uses light-to-medium pressure to induce relaxation with some stretching. This modality is a favorite for addressing stress and enhancing sleep.

Neuromuscular Therapy:
Also known as Trigger Point Therapy or Myofascial Release, this modality targets specific areas of tight muscle or “knots” as well as tense sections of muscle or fascial adhesions. (Please note that you may experience some soreness for a few days post-massage with this approach.)
Deep Tissue:
Using slower movement, more pressure and a variety of techniques, this modality targets areas of tissue adhesion, increases blood flow, and releases tension. "Deep" does not refer to the amount of pressure but rather that the massage is not just focused on the surface layers of muscle but includes the deeper layers. However, deeper pressure is frequently employed after warm up of the specific area of concern. The focus and time required to properly execute deep tissue work means that each session is limited to only a few areas of the body.
Reflexology:
This 1/2 hour foot treatment can be incorporated into any massage or be given as a stand-alone session. If you are interested in a full-body massage plus a full Reflexology session, we recommend booking at least 90 minutes of massage.
Dedicated upper shoulder, neck, face, and scalp massage:
Addressing a common area of trouble for many clients, this targeted treatment is normally a 1/2 hour session, but clients may book this for a 45 minute or hour long session for an extended application.
Please note that clients may experience some soreness after deeper and more therapeutic massage.
